Susan McDonald has been playing guitar since the age of six. She studied with Pepe Romero and has performed at notable international venues, such as Carnegie Hall, and for notable audiences, such as the President of the United States.
She has released nine CDs, three of which has been nominated for Grammy's.
Susan is also a composer, poet, and filmmaker. She recently released a DVD, The Aquarium: A Marine Micro-Ballet for Guitar and Sea Creatures (see excerpt, Cleaning Crew).
Susan leads an active life. She’s an avid tri athlete, skier, scuba diver and gardener. Susan and her husband, Charles, live in the hills outside of Austin, Texas, with their dog, Kizzie, olive-throated conure, Verdi, a host of silkie chickens, and peacocks Houdini, Wilhelmina and Pea Diddy.
